A new book details tips and tricks to build better relationships in the workplace. 

Lorraine K. Lee, an award-winning global keynote speaker and an instructor for Stanford Continuing Studies and LinkedIn Learning, says her new book guides working professionals on building trust at work with peers and managers. In Unforgettable Presence, Lee shares how to navigate a modern workplace and go from overlooked to unforgettable. 

Lee shares an example of properly presenting yourself during a virtual meeting. She says things like having a clear webcam, wearing the right clothes, and being engaged and energetic are key to effectively communicating over video. “Video mutes energy.”  She also says to make sure the background in your video is curated properly, and the lighting doesn’t hide your face. 

Lee says her book will help you with networking and more. She says it’s a way to become your best advocate and be seen by the right people in the right places.
