With hundreds of clients and 50 years in business, Connor Painting has been named the Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development’s Certified Vendor of the Month.

Janmarie Connor, President and CEO of Connor Painting, says her company has been in business for almost 50 years and has kept clients for more than thirty years. Connor Painting specializes in commercial and industrial maintenance painting contractors.

Along with Fortune 500 customers, Connor says many of her customers are small businesses and government agencies. She says customers range from education and utilities to healthcare and manufacturing. She says her company is made up of “expert problem solvers.”

In addition to solving complex issues with painting and coating needs, Connor says the company paints everything from floors to walls and ceilings. Offering floor coatings and concrete polishings, Connor Painting is a family-owned business. Connor says she entered the business with her husband, and they combined their skill sets to build the company into what it is today.

Increasingly, Connor Painting is moving into new construction. While Connor says, “We have capabilities in that area,” she also wants customers to focus on proper painting and coating maintenance. She says regular maintenance helps combat rust and corrosion, which could cause major issues with buildings and equipment.

When discussing being named the Certified Vendor of the Month, Connor says, “It is very significant to me.” She says the Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development’s certified vendor program has helped her gain new resources and connect with other business owners.
