Jane King, a NASDAQ Analyst, says Honda is rumored to bring the manufacturing of the new next-generation Honda Civic to Indiana. Currently built in Mexico, the Civic may be ready to move by 2028. Honda has not confirmed these reports.
Indiana farmers are also impacted by recent tariff news. The Indiana Corn Growers Association and the Indiana Soybean Alliance have called on a congressional delegation to address the impact of tariffs on their crops. China is one of the largest purchasers of US-grown soybeans. In addition, volatility in trade relations with Mexico is causing issues in the agriculture products sector.
