Small Business Owners Should Consider Working with a CPA
One way for small business owners to prepare for a busy 2025 is to hire a CPA to help with planning and forecasting.
Courtney Kincaid, the President and CEO of the Indiana CPA Society, says small business owners should consider working with a CPA this year. Regarding campaign promises to small business owners from politicians, she says, “What is promised might not be the end result.”
Kincaid says if you don’t have a full-time CPA on staff, you should consider getting help from one as an advisor. She says a new local tax environment and federal supply chain changes could mean many changes are coming.
Kincaid encourages small business owners to work with someone who can do forecasting in times of change. And while she urges you to have patience with your CPA during tax season, she says they will be extremely helpful when it comes to end-of-year planning and forecasting.
