At the recent Champions of Diversity ceremony, Zachary Myers, the outgoing US Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana received an award for his hard work bringing equity and diversity to law enforcement.     

After receiving the Social Justice and Equity Award, Myers said he was honored to be recognized for the work his office has done over the last three years in Indiana. 

Myers says the Department of Justice is committed to reaching out to the community and keeping them involved in ongoing criminal investigations against fraudsters who might try to steal from local small businesses. 

Myers says he wanted to build an office that reflects the community where they serve. He says that won’t get in the way of upholding the rule of law and protecting civil rights. 

Myers encourages small business owners to partner with law enforcement when needed. He says the office will continue to focus on protecting the most vulnerable. “It’s hard enough to run a business.”
