International Women’s Day Event Will Feature Panels and Free Services

BEO 3-2-25 TWIB

The upcoming International Women’s Day event will be free and open to the public and will feature panels and discussions with business and community leaders.

Rupal Thanawala, the CEO of Trident Systems and the event chair for International Women’s Day, hopes the event will empower and inspire women from many different backgrounds. She says the free event will center around the theme of “accelerate action.”

To go along with that, Thanawala says the day will focus on four key areas, including education, empowerment, enablement, and excel. She says the education theme came from a need to give women access and information to start their careers or grow their businesses. She says many speakers are “highly successful” and will inspire attendees through their stories. “I think those conversations are going to be very inspiring.”

When it comes to “enablement,” Thanawala says she wants attendees to leave the event knowing how to make the next step with new information. This includes learning more skills and building their network.

Thanawala also says she wants event attendees to find a place where they can excel. She says she wants them to grow with economic and financial advancements.

Among the free services provided that day, a professional photographer will take free headshots for women.

Keynote speakers include Cat Sandoval, a WISH-TV investigative reporter; Indiana Secretary of Energy Suzanne Jaworowski; and Amber Cox, Indiana Fever’s COO and General Manager.

The 2025 International Women’s Day event will be held at the Indiana Government Center. More information is available at www.in.gov/icw/events
