City Wide Paving has been named the Vendor of the Month by the Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development.

Fyzal Ohab, the owner of City Wide Paving, purchased the company in 1997 after a career in trucking. With services from asphalt paving and resurfacing to winter services like snow plowing and salting, City Wide Paving has several notable clients, including the city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium.

Ohab said when he purchased the company, “It was a big jump at the time.” And while he admits there were early struggles, he says he wanted a new challenge and to build something for his family. He says competing for city contracts can be very competitive, but working with the OMWBD and becoming a certified minority-owned business has opened up new opportunities for his operation. He says he is thankful for the program.

In addition to serving their clients, City Wide Paving is also involved with many non-profits across Indiana, including initiatives to improve public health and safety and working with charities like Hear Indiana, Wheeler Mission, Special Olympics, and more.
