A return to sunshine before midweek rain chances arrive | March 16, 2025

March 16 | Evening Forecast with Meteorologist Drew Narsutis

TONIGHT

Clouds will gradually decrease overnight as the storm system moves out, allowing for clearing skies across much of the area. With high pressure building in, temperatures will fall quickly, dropping into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees by morning. Northwest winds around 5 to 10 mph will add a bit of chill to the air, making for a cold but quiet night.

TOMORROW

A much-needed break from the recent unsettled weather arrives to start the week. Expect abundant sunshine and dry conditions, with high temperatures climbing to the mid-50s. Winds will start calm but become a light southwest breeze by the afternoon, helping to kick off a warming trend.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Mostly clear skies continue into the night, keeping things quiet and dry. Temperatures will be milder than the previous night, staying in the low 40s. South winds around 10 mph will bring occasional gusts up to 20 mph, signaling the start of a more active weather pattern ahead.

TUESDAY

The warming trend continues as highs surge into the upper 60s, possibly touching 70 in a few spots. Mostly sunny skies will dominate early, though clouds may start to increase later in the day. Winds out of the south at 15 to 20 mph will make for a breezy afternoon, with gusts reaching 30 mph at times.

TUESDAY NIGHT

Mostly cloudy skies take over as moisture increases ahead of the next storm system. A few sprinkles can’t be ruled out late, but rain chances hold off for now. Overnight lows stay mild, only falling into the mid-50s. South winds will remain steady at 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph.

WEDNESDAY

A shift back to unsettled weather arrives by midweek. A chance of rain develops in the morning, with rain becoming likely by the afternoon, possibly accompanied by a few thunderstorms. Highs will still reach the low 60s before the system moves through. Winds out of the south-southwest at 15 to 20 mph will gust as high as 35 mph, making for a blustery day.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Rain continues into the evening, with a few thunderstorms still possible before tapering off overnight. A few lingering showers may mix with snow in far northern areas as colder air moves in, though no impacts are expected. Lows will drop into the low to mid-30s, with gusty west winds at 15 to 20 mph.

7 DAY FORECAST

A warming trend takes hold early in the week, with sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 60s by Tuesday. A strong midweek system will bring rain and possibly a few thunderstorms Wednesday into Wednesday night, followed by a cooldown into the 40s for Thursday. Dry conditions return to close the workweek, with temperatures moderating slightly heading into next weekend.
