Near-normal stretch with additional rain chances ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a stormy Wednesday with numerous warnings and damage reports, Indiana kicked off spring on an unsettled note with cold air, breezy winds, and a light wintry mix.

A stretch of near-normal temperatures is in this extended forecast, with more chances for showers and storms. The average high through the next seven days about 55 degrees.

Thursday night: Clouds will gradually clear out with winds briefly dying down. Lows will drop into the upper 20s.

Friday: We’ll warm back up with the return of some sunshine. A breezy wind will develop from the south with gusts approaching from 30-35 mph at times. The sun and southerly wind will help temperatures push into the mid to upper 50s.

There could also be some isolated to scattered showers mainly after sunset. The best chance for rain will be near and north of interstate 70.

Saturday: More in the way of sunshine and near-normal temperatures. Highs look to rise into the mid 50s. By late night, more showers are possible.

7-Day Forecast: The best shot for rain and potentially a few storms will arrive Sunday with rain looking likely at times that day. It will also turn breezy once again Sunday through Monday. Highs will go from the mid-upper 50s Sunday back down into the low 50s Monday through Tuesday.
