March 21, 2025 morning forecast with Tara Hastings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –   Warmer temperatures to end the work week. We will see some rain showers heading this way for the weekend with temperatures remaining into the 50s.

Couple of quick notes on the severe weather we saw Wednesday night. Storm surveys have been completed from the National Weather Service. We had about four tornadoes touch down in northwestern Indiana in Lake county and one in Miami county. There was one tornado in Gary that did reach EF1 strength and also had one injury. The strongest of the tornadoes was an EF2 in Bartholomew county. This now brings the state total up to 14 tornadoes for the year.

TODAY: A chilly start across the state this morning. Temperature starting out into the ’20s we will look for a seasonable afternoon. High top up into the upper 50s with some sunshine and more clouds later this afternoon.

We will see a bit of a breezy day this afternoon. Wind speeds made gust between 20 and 25 mph later today.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies expected overnight tonight. A few light showers will develop scattered across the state. Low temperatures will fall into the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Temperatures remain into the ’50s this weekend. On Saturday we will see if you have early morning showers otherwise sunshine for the afternoon. High temperatures climb around 51. 

On Sunday we’ll look for mostly cloudy skies and a good chance for some rain. High temperatures climb into the upper ’50s near 60.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: cooler conditions for your Monday with highs right around 50. It will be dry to start off the work week. Some showers possible on Tuesday partly cloudy with highs into the mid-50s.

Rain chances are possible heading into the middle part of the work week. Temperatures remain slightly above normal for this time of the year into the low and middle 50s.
