Sunny and seasonable, winds ramp up Tuesday | March 17, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Sunny and seasonable for the day today. Warmer on Tuesday but another storm system will bring gusty winds and some showers and storms.
We had stormy conditions over the weekend and so far we have a preliminary total of nine tornadoes across the state. The question remains whether or not the tornadoes in southwestern Indiana are multiple tornadoes or one long track tornado.

TODAY: A chilly start this morning with temperatures into the ’20s. We’ll look for lots of sunshine for the afternoon with high temperatures climbing into the ’50s. The normal high for this time of year is 52 and that is exactly what we are going for for the day today.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies overnight tonight low temperatures will fall into the lower 40s. Winds begin to pick up throughout the overnight hours.

TOMORROW: Warmer conditions on Tuesday. Look for partly cloudy skies it’s going to be breezy and warmer. High temperatures climb close to 70. Winds may gust at times around 20 to 25 mph.



7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Storm system heads in our direction for Wednesday. Look for mostly cloudy skies and the winds will really ramp up. We will look for winds to gust at times anywhere between 30 and maybe 40 mph. Good chance for some showers and maybe even a rumble of thunder into the afternoon hours. High temperatures on Wednesday will climb into the mid and upper ’60s .


Scattered rain and maybe even a few snow showers could be possible on Thursday. Winds switch direction out of the north and northwest. It will be blustery and chilly with high temperatures only into the middle 40s .
The chill will be short-lived; we’ll look for highs to return back into the ’50s for Friday and Saturday. Friday looks dry with some rain chances heading in our direction for Saturday.
