INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Windy and warm conditions expected today. Windy with storms expected for Wednesday. Temperatures will climb about 20 degrees above normal for this time of the year. Showers and thunderstorms head this way for your Wednesday with cooler conditions moving in on Thursday.

TODAY: We will see a little bit of cloud cover on and off throughout the day today. It will be breezy with winds picking up out of the South and Southwest. Winds may gusts between 20 and 25 miles per hour. It is going to be incredibly warm for the day today. Will look for high temperatures into the lower 70s. That is about 20 degrees above normal for this time of the year.

TONIGHT: Clouds begin to increase ahead of our next storm system that will arrive on Wednesday. It will be mild overnight tonight with lows falling into the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: We will see very windy conditions heading into your Wednesday. Winds may approach 40 mph. 

Much of the day will be dry. Look for partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day. We’ll see a chance for some scattered rain and thunderstorms later in the afternoon and early evening. Some of those could be on the stronger side with some gusty winds and also maybe some small hail as well. High temperatures on Wednesday afternoon will climb into the mid-60s so about 10° or so above normal.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Colder air moves in for your Thursday. We will see high temperatures only into the middle 40s. Look for some scattered morning rain showers to change over to a few snow showers. It would be blustery with wind switching direction out of the west and northwest. 

Dry conditions on Friday with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures climb back up in the mid and upper ’50s. We will see a few isolated showers possible on Saturday and Sunday. Highs will climb into the upper ’50s and lower 60s for the weekend.
