INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Arts enthusiast Tom Alvarez joined us again “On the Aisle” to share exciting recommendations for theater and music lovers in Central Indiana.

Magic Thread Cabaret’s latest production, ‘Maddie’s Everybody’s Girl,’ is set to open this Friday at the White Rabbit Cabaret in Indianapolis.

The show, featuring the talents of illusionist and female impersonator Maddie, promises a unique blend of live vocals, comedy, and dance, distinguishing itself from typical drag performances.

“Maddie is a triple threat for sure,” said Tom Alvarez, producer-director at Magic Thread Cabaret, highlighting her skills in singing, acting, and dancing.

The show is based on the fictional story of Madison Avenue, a popular drag artist, and explores her life journey with humor and entertainment.

Dustin Klein, the music director, contributes vocally to the production, adding to the show’s dynamic musical elements.

Tina Mayher returns to the stage as Maddie’s cranky French maid, adding a comedic touch to the performance.

In addition to ‘Maddie’s Everybody’s Girl,’ the Indianapolis Opera is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a Legacy Gala on March 22, featuring a rare collaboration with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

Grupo Niche, a Colombian music group, will perform at The Palladium on the same night, offering a vibrant cultural experience.

With a variety of performances scheduled, Indianapolis continues to showcase a growing and diverse arts scene, offering something for everyone this weekend.
