INDIANAPOLIS, (WISH) – Country music duo, LOCASH, is coming to Indianapolis.

They’ll be performing at 8 Seconds Saloon on Friday, March 14.

Preston Brust and Chris Lucas have been working together for years.

Preston is from the small town of Kokomo, Indiana.

He says he’s excited to perform back in his home state.

“I love it so much,” Preston said. “We don’t get back to Indiana very often because we’re doing shows all over the country so any time I can get back to Indiana is really special, especially Indianapolis.”

Preston says he still has a lot of family and friends that live in Kokomo.

“I’ve been getting text messages all week from them saying that they’re coming to the show,” Preston said. “It’s almost like a class reunion every time I come to Indiana because everybody shows up and supports us. It’s going to be great.”

This year marks the 10-year-anniversary of their hit song “I love This Life”

“I remember performing the song before it ever went to radio and we knew it was going to be big,” Preston said. “Before it was even on the radio, it was our encore song . It was already the one that everybody wanted to hear.”

LOCASH also recently released a new song called “Isn’t She Country”

“We were just having fun on the back of the bus, and we were signing Isn’t She Lovely,” Preston said. “One of the guys was like ‘let’s put country in there’ so we started messing around with it and we recorded a demo.”

Preston said they quickly realized they needed to get Stevie Wonder’s approval.

“They graciously accepted our request,” Preston said. “It’s been a dream come true to have Stevie put his blessing on the song.”

They also have another new song called “Hometown Home,” which is close to being #1.

“We’re really excited about that,”Preston said.

Preston says if you haven’t been to one of their shows before, be prepared to have a good time.

“We try to make you forget about all of the drama and problems in your world for a few minutes,” Preston said. “If you’re going to spend your hard-earned money to come out and spend a Friday night with us or a Saturday, we want you to forget about everything. We want you to get your hands up and sing loud.”
