IHSAA boys basketball semi-state round matchups

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament continues this weekend with the semi-state round of the bracket. 

Only 32 teams remain alive in the tournament with hopes of winning a state championship. 

Here’s a look at the semi-state matchups this Saturday across the state:

North

Class 4A at Elkhart

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: South Bend Riley (22-4) vs. Fishers (28-0)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Homestead (22-5) vs. Crown Point (22-2)
  • 8 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 3A at Logansport

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Maconaquah (21-5) vs. South Bend St. Joseph (24-3)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: East Chicago Central (20-8) vs. Delta (17-7)
  • 8 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 2A at Michigan City 

  • 11 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Gary 21st Century (20-6) vs. Wapahani (26-1)
  • 1 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Manchester (23-2) vs. Jimtown (16-10)
  • 8:30 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 1A at Lafayette Jefferson

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Kouts (23-4) vs. Monroe Central (19-6)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Triton (23-4) vs. Clinton Prairie (24-2)
  • 8 p.m. – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

South

Class 4A at New Castle

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Terre Haute North Vigo (21-5) vs. Lawrence North (21-6)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Jeffersonville (21-5) vs. Mt. Vernon (Fortville) (21-5)
  • 8 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 3A at Southport

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: New Palestine (25-3) vs. Brownstown Central (24-2)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Princeton Community (24-2) vs. Crispus Attucks (20-6)
  • 8 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 2A at Washington

  • 10:30 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Parke Heritage (24-4) vs. Forest Park (19-6)
  • 12:15 p.m. EDT – Game 2: University (18-9) vs. Linton-Stockton (21-6)
  • 7:30 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Class 1A at Seymour

  • 10 a.m. EDT – Game 1: Orleans (22-4) vs. Hauser (24-3)
  • 12 p.m. EDT – Game 2: Liberty Christian (18-8) vs. Clay City (25-1)
  • 8 p.m. EDT – Championship: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

The semi-state round matchups were randomly drawn on Sunday afternoon, according to the IHSAA. 

Winners from each semi-state site will advance to their respective state championship game. The state title games will be played on Saturday, March 29 inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
