Pacers CEO named to USA Today Women of the Year list

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines is being honored in USA Today’s Women of the Year.

It’s the fourth straight year that USA Today has done their Women of the Year program, honoring women from across the country during Women’s History Month.

Raines has been with the Pacers organization since 2015 and has been the CEO since July of 2024.

She was one of the members of the Host Committee for Super Bowl XLVI that Indianapolis hosted in 2012.

Raines also was the president of the 2024 NBA All-Star Local Organizing Committee in 2024.

Raines is part of a group of 51 local and seven national women being honored. Each state, plus Puerto Rico, are represented.
