Andretti Global’s teams to go into former Indy Star plant
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The former Indianapolis Star printing plant on the northwest side of Indianapolis will be developed into the new headquarters for Andretti Global’s IndyCar, Indy NXT and Formula E teams, says Allen, a national real estate firm.
The facility, 8278 Georgetown Road, will be transformed into a 245,783-square-foot space that includes both office and industrial areas, accommodating 300 employees. The project is set to be completed by summer.
Brian Carley, executive managing director of development for Bradford Allen, said in a statement issued Monday, “The redevelopment of the Georgetown Road facility represents a significant milestone in supporting Andretti’s vision.”
Dan Towiss, chief executive office or TWG Motorsports, said in a statement that the new headquarters will bring all teams together under one roof.
Bradford Allen’s redevelopment project includes modernizing the building’s technology, introducing tailored workspaces, and adding employee amenities such as a fitness center and dining space. The facility will also feature new office finishes, additional restrooms, and expanded loading docks to accommodate Andretti’s fleet. A news release issued Monday gave no word on how much the transformation will cost.
Bradford Allen reports the project will be the second collaboration with TWG Motorsports, following a nearly 400,000-square-foot motorsports facility under construction in Fishers.
