Visit Indy celebrates record-breaking 2024

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis leaders came together Wednesday to celebrate a record-breaking 2024 in tourism.

Mayor Joe Hogsett, the president and chief executive of Visit Indy, and other leaders celebrated the busy 2024, added that the momentum will carry over into 2025.

Clare Clark, senior communications manager with Visit Indy, said, “2024 was an anomaly year when it came to all the amazing, huge events that we had. NBA All-Star, solar eclipse, Taylor Swift and U.S. Swimming Trials, and, so as we go into 2025, you’ll see the theme of momentum, and Indy will continue to roll out the red carpet for all of our visitors that comes to massive citywide events.”

During its ceremony, Visit Indy also honored the Indiana Fever with the city’s highest tourism award for contributing and enhancing Indianapolis. The franchise is set to host the WNBA All-Star Game on July 19.
