Thousands without power after severe thunderstorms and two possible tornadoes
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Over 60,000 Hoosiers were without power after strong winds, over 60 mph gusts, ripped across Indiana.
Radar indicated a tornado by Loogootee, Indiana. Damage near Mecca and Rockville, Indiana was reported around 2:16 a.m.
The City of Loogootee is investigating the aftermath of the storm after several structures show signs of damage. Travelers are warned to use caution and stay clear from any damage as the cleanup process begins.


Wind Advisory
The worst of the storms has passed, now most of Indiana is left in a wind advisory until 4 p.m.
The National Weather Service of Indianapolis says that winds between 20-30 mph with gusts reaching up to 50 mph are possible.
Debris and unsecured objects will be blown around. Avoid tree limbs and downed power lines. Larger vehicles will be affected by the winds. Drive cautiously.
Power outages
Up to 60,000 Hoosiers were without power.
Duke Energy reported that over 26,000 of their customers do not have power from 475 active outages. The majority of outages they report are south of Bedford and in southwestern portions of Indiana.
AES Indiana said they had 711 customers in Indianapolis without power.
Indiana Michigan Power reported the least amount of outages in their service, with only 17 customers without power.
