Former NFL player Kylen Granson’s KG Kids Foundation helps Indy youth

Pro athletes making meaningful impacts in cities they call home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Many professional athletes make a name for themselves on the field, and still many others also elect to make a meaningful impact in the communities they’ve called home, even after their playing careers take them to new places.

Former Indianapolis Colts player Kylen Granson is one such athlete, using his platform to support local initiatives through his KG Kids Foundation.

Granson, who now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles after signing with that team, remains deeply committed to giving back to the city of Indianapolis.

One of the foundation’s standout programs is Books Before Break, an initiative aimed at providing children in Indianapolis with essential reading materials to keep their minds engaged during school breaks.

WISH-TV contributor Emil Ekiyor, who is also a former NFL player, joined News 8 for a discussion on the topic.

“The KG Kids Foundation has had a far-reaching impact on the Indianapolis community, touching the lives of many local children and families,” Ekiyor said.
