2025 Indy 500 Snake Pit lineup announced; Grammy-nominated DJ Illenium to headline

Doug Boles named new president of IndyCar

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Get ready to be in the Pit, 500 fans!

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced its “all-star” lineup for the 2025 Snake Pit Tuesday morning, the roster spotted with big names in the global electronic music scene.

This year’s headliner? Grammy-nominated DJ star Illenium.

Nick Miller, professionally known as “Illenium,” will hit the stage as the Snake Pit headliner. With over 10 billion global streams under his belt, Illenium will bring a “sweeping” wave of adrenaline-filled sound that’ll feature “heartfelt ballads, growling drops, emotional acoustic moments and ecstatic explosions alike.”

IMS President Doug Boles shared the excitement bringing power to the Snake Pit this year in a press release.

“More than 20,000 people find their Indianapolis 500 Race Day experience in the infield where the sound of the 33 racing INDYCAR SERIES cars provide the backdrop for friends, music and dancing from an unforgettable location – the Snake Pit,” he said. “It’s one of the best events of the year for fans who attend.”

Illenium will be joined by a number of other artists, including:

  • Sammy Virji – A London-based DJ nominated for best producer at DJ Meg’s Best of British Awards in 2023. Some of his iconic dance music tracks include “screw-face belters” like “Shella Verse” or his breakout single “If U Need It.”
  • Two Friends – Longtime friends Matt Halper and Eli Sones come together to create the “the masters of the remix,” Two Friends. IMS says they “exploded” into stardom with remixes of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers and “I Miss You” by Blink 182. They have amassed millions of streams online over the 10-year run of their “Big Bootie Mixes.”
  • Kayzo – Kayzo was described as one of the decade’s “fastest rising electronic artists,” all thanks to his “seamless” blends of heavy metal and electronic music. His album “New Breed,” IMS says, shows just how well he can blend the two genres and create both something nostalgic and something new.
  • Oliver Heldens – Heldens, also know as HI-LO, combines “big room sensibility with a dark, underground, raw edge,” with many of his tracks gaining acceptance from “luminaries” in dubstep and those in “the underground scene.”

The Snake Pit comes alive on May 25. General admission and VIP wristbands for the Snake Pit are on sale on IMS’ website. General admission costs $55, while VIP sits at $160.

VIP bands provide access to a raised viewing platform, private cash bar, and private bathrooms. All Snake Pit ticketholders must be older than 18.
