INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s the last day of February, which means there are just 85 days until the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

To help fans get revved up, the 500 Festival has launched the 2025 Kickoff to May Contest, giving Hoosiers ages 18 and older the chance to win a Month of May prize pack.

To enter, share a short story about your favorite May experiences, whether from 500 Festival events or traditions linked to the Indianapolis 500.

The contest ties into this year’s 500 Festival theme, “Connected Through May,” which aims to celebrate the special connections the community shares in the weeks leading up to the Indy 500.

The exclusive Kickoff to May prize pack includes:

• STAR Financial Bank Raceday YETI Cooler (24 Hard Cooler with Strap) 
• 20 oz. Raceday YETI Tumbler 
• Four VIP tickets to the AES 500 Festival Parade on May 24, with parking pass 
• VIP brunch prior to the AES 500 Festival Parade
• VIP access to the 500 Festival “Kickoff to May” event on Monument Circle
• 500 Festival and STAR Raceday swag

Entries for the contest will be accepted until March 31 at starfinancial.com/connected-through-may, where you can also find full contest rules.

The winner will be announced at the Kickoff to May event on Monument Circle on Wednesday, April 30.
