Black-owned business supports women entrepreneurs in building brands
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new Black-owned business in Indy is stepping up to help women entrepreneurs overcome challenges and build standout brands.
For many women entrepreneurs, getting their business noticed can be a struggle, but one local business owner is making it her mission to change that by providing the tools and space needed to help brands thrive.
Inside this creative space, ideas come to life. LiMStudios Creative Hub is designed to help women entrepreneurs and small business owners with visibility.
“It’s important we have the resources to become who we are meant to be,” said Victoria Odekomaya, founder of LiMStudios. “Somebody out there is waiting for what you have, and unless they know about it, then we are all losing.”
From branding strategies to high-quality content production, the studio offers hands-on support to make sure businesses stand out in a crowded market. Women are able to create content such as podcasts episodes, host meetings, create Instagram reels and TikToks, and take headshots.
“We are here as a resource to help you through that process,” Odekomaya said. “Whether you need ideas or a hand to help you. As part of my business as a creative agency, I help people strategize. You’re not just getting this space, you’re also getting the strategy to help get something out of using the space.”
Odekomaya says it’s important that women continue to support each other.
“It is hard building a business, so it’s really important we support each other we rally around each other, encourage each other, life each other up because you never know what people are going through,” Odekomaya said. “It’s really nice and feels more comfortable, and makes the journey easier if you have somebody to lean on.”
The studio officially opens its doors on April 1, giving more women the opportunity to turn their dreams into reality.
“I’m really excited about that,” Odekomaya said. “I want people to come in here and see what’s possible for them. There’s so many opportunities just waiting for us to create.”
Odekomaya says it’s important for businesses and creators to think about what makes them unique, so that people can relate to them and their content.
