Rivals ‘Face Off’ in Indy Film Fest’s Bigger Picture Show
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis’ best designers re-imagine iconic rivals’ showdowns for a silent auction.
Indy Film Fest, partnered with Lodge Design, announced that the 15th year of the Bigger Picture Show‘s theme is “Face Off.” 125 movie posters will be for sale in the silent auction. Each poster covers rivals from classic movies, such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, to modern fan-favorites, like Elphaba and Glinda.
The auction is March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Schwitzer Gallery, in the Factory Arts District. Entry is free, and guests can enjoy food, beer, or wine while they write down their bids.
Proceeds from the framed posters will go to supporting Indy Film Fest.
“This year’s ‘Face Off’ theme dives into the legendary rivalries and friendships that define our favorite movies, offering a new take on the characters we love – and love to hate. It’s an unforgettable night of art, celebrating film, and friendly competition –all in support of Indy Film Fest’s mission,” Lodge Design owner Jason Roemer said in the announcement.
If Bigger Picture Show is getting you excited for Indy Film Fest, don’t worry. You don’t have to wait long. Indy Film Fest returns April 23-27 for in-person showings, however you can enjoy the films from the comfort of your own home with online showings through May 4.
