INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Spring is almost here and your kids are probably itching to get out of school to enjoy the weather. Now is the perfect time to start planning for your summer break.

Kait Baumgartner from Indianapolis Moms joined Daybreak to share the best summer camps in central Indiana for a range of interests, from STEM to sports and the arts.

Camp Invention

Camp Invention is for grades K-6 and offers hands-on, collaborative STEM activities.

“What I love about this camp is there are multiple locations around, so you’ll find one that’s closest to you,” Baumgartner said.

Camp Cathedral

Camp Cathedral offers over 50 different enrichment options for children in grades K-9, allowing them to explore interests such as music, sports, and theater. The camp also provides both before and after childcare options to accommodate parents’ schedules.

Cincinnati Reds Baseball Camp

The Cincinnati Reds Baseball Camp is perfect for baseball enthusiasts ages 6-14. Participants receive over 30 hours of instruction, a full Reds uniform, four tickets to a Reds game, and with a Q&A session with a Reds player.

Indianapolis Children’s Choir Summer Music Camp

For those interested in the arts, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir Summer Music Camp offers a chance to explore music, even for those who are new to the field. The camp is designed to help children discover and develop their vocal talents.

Indianapolis Ballet Summer Camp

Located at the studio downtown, the Indianapolis Ballet Summer Camp welcomes children of all experience levels. Participants can try different dance styles, including tap and ballet, in a supportive environment.
