2 fifth graders take on deputy mayor’s role in Carmel

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH-TV) — Two fifth graders in Carmel served as deputy mayors under Mayor Sue Finkam.
A newsletter from the mayor’s office on Friday did not give the full names of the students, but shared photos of them.
Deputy Mayor “Shravan,” a student at Cherry Tree Elementary, presented to the City Council about the Affiliate Review Committee and the upcoming Cherry Blossom Festival.
Deputy Mayor “Leena,” from Prairie Trace Elementary, delivered a self-introduction, showcasing her leadership skills.
