Tesla recalls Cybertruck models for faulty body trim
It’s official: We have another Cybertruck recall. This one is number eight.
Tesla is recalling Cybertrucks because the exterior trim can fly off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
This affects vehicles manufactured from November 2023 to February 2025.
NHTSA says owner notification letters are expected to be mailed out in mid-to-late May for a free replacement and assembly of the panels.
EU delaying first tariffs on US goods
The European Union will delay implementing its first set of tariffs on goods from the U.S. until the middle of April.
This will allow for additional time for discussions with Washington.
The tariffs include those include industrial-grade steel and aluminum, other steel and aluminum semifinished and finished products, along with their derivative commercial products, such as machinery parts and knitting needles.
Also European wine and spirits.
USDA: Trump admin focused on lowering egg prices
USDA Secretary Brook Rollins says the Trump Administration is still focused on lowering egg prices and improving supply.
In a briefing, Rollins mentioned how shell egg exports are down 8% and that keeps more eggs in the U.S., which lowers prices.
And while the U.S.D.A. is exploring vaccinating poultry for bird flu, she says the use of any vaccine so far has not been authorized at this time.
IRS says 1.1 million people are owed tax refunds
The I.R.S. says more than 1.1 million people nationwide are owed some in tax refunds.
If you’re one of those people, all you have to do is file a 2021 federal income tax return by April 15.
Taxpayers have roughly one month left now to claim that 2021 refund.
The I.R.S. estimates the midpoint for the potential refunds nationwide for 2021 to be $781 — that is, half of the refunds are more than $781 and half are less.
DoorDash offering payment plan option to eat now, pay later
Buy now, pay later is coming to takeout food.
DoorDash users will be able to pay for deliveries in split payments – four interest-free installments or schedule custom payments.
GrubHub and Amazon announced that an Amazon Prime membership would permanently include a no-cost subscription to the GrubHub food delivery service.
